Where sound finances meet the sound of tradition
When I anticipated becoming a financial planner, I envisioned myself sitting down face-to-face with people and helping them find peace with their finances. I am good with numbers and I'm a people person! Now, thanks to the nationally accredited PFP program at Utah Valley University, I have that chance! I am a Junior this year, and will soon be studying to pass the CFP, AFC, SIE, and several FINRA licensing exams. I will be graduating in the Spring of 2027. I have already learned how to draft financial plans, and tax and insurance plans, and a variety of technological and soft skills. I am actively hunting for internship and employment opportunities and am always looking for that next person to help financially.
As a young man, my father raised me on stories of my 24th great uncle Sir William Wallace and how he fought for freedom for Scotland! He brought me to the local Scottish festivals where I learned more about my heritage; I decided that instead of learning how to hurl great stones or logs (cabers as they call them in the homeland), I would learn how to play the boisterous bagpipes! I have been playing the bagpipes for 12 years now, in the Wasatch and District Pipe Band located out of Bountiful, Utah. While I have found a passion in singing and playing musical instruments such as the piano and percussion, bagpiping is where I have really excelled and I have been fortunate enough to travel with my band throughout the western United States and North America. I love sharing my passion by teaching others this gift and by performing at live events (and NO bagpipes are not just for funerals!)
